If you or someone you know find it hard to stay calm, pay attention and/or have a difficult time focusing, it could be a condition called adrenergic hyperactivity. This condition also makes it difficult to control reactions to everyday situations. Adrenergic hyperactivity generally takes place when the brain releases epinephrine or when the usage is different from usual. This condition is very similar to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Warning signs that signify adrenergic hyperactivity include compulsive talking, difficulty staying in one place, and uncontrollable ceaseless movement. There are no specific causes of adrenergic hyperactivity known at this time. However, things such as diet, social situations and physical environments are factors that are associated with the disorder. Adrenergic hyperactivity is not a terminal illness and does not cause any damage physically, but it makes daily tasks time consuming and much more difficult to manage. When seeking treatment, consult a physician to get one of several prescription drugs available to treat adrenergic hyperactivity. Counseling.org recommends implementing counseling as well as lifestyle changes to relieve the disorder's impact.Facts
