    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

You cannot get hallucinogens from eating poppy seeds. According to the Ask Pat service at Colorado State University, poppy-derived hallucinogens such as opium and heroin require processing and refinement. Straight poppy seeds are not concentrated enough to produce hallucinations.

Be careful, you will test positive for whatever drug it applies to There was a documetary about this. There was a cheescake with poppy seed topping, there was a poppy seed bagel and a plain bagel. Test results were positive for the contestants on the cake and bagel.
