    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

Yes, you can put race gas in a regular car. However, some cars will not be able to handle race gas. For example, a Honda civic engine that is old and worn may break down due to the increased detonation power of the race gas. Race gas is cleaner and more powerful than regular, unleaded fuel, but it is also a lot more expensive. Consult a mechanic to find out if race gas is safe to use in your car engine.

What exactly are you referring to when you say "race gas?" Ethanol? Methanol? 91 octane?
There are many more types than "regular unleaded and race gas".
You should always use the fuel specified by the manufacturer, unless you have altered your engine in ways that creates a need for a higher octane.
But chances are, if you ask the question "can I put race gas in my car?" than you have not altered your engine.
    At least I hope not.
