    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

To enlist in the U.S. Navy Reserve without prior service, you must be between 18 and 39 years of age. To join as an officer, you must be between 19 and 35 and have a four-year degree from a U.S. college or university. Exceptions are made for doctors, nurses and dentists, who may be up to 39 years of age.
