I have a 1992 honda accord it will start but when i let the key return to run position it will die. if i keep the key just in front of run it will keep running. I think this is the ignition switch. is this something i can fix myself?

I don't know, but it sounds like you need a new ingnition switch. If so: This is actually a whole tube that contains the lock that fits your key as well as the wiring necessary to tell your car to start. Actually this is quite difficult to fix for yourself because it usually involves removing the whole steering column with a special tool. Also, if you don't fix it, you might not be able to start your car because this sort of problem tends to get worse. The good news is that it's actually quite inexpesive to get fixed. Often, you can even get someone to come to your house and do it. You should be able to get this fixed for $40-$60 depending on where you live and who you go to.

before I had same problem...I just take out ignition switch to chean then it is work verygood(100%work) goodluck....
