"Power leveling" is a term widely used in MMORPGs (massively multiplayer online role-playing games) like World of Warcraft (WOW) to describe leveling up a character as quickly as possible. Power leveling allows players to progress through WOW's experience levels more quickly so that they can access higher-level content with less play time. Power leveling can be achieved in many ways: typically it involves doing several quests in the same area as quickly as possible, and killing large numbers of enemies quickly. Players being power-leveled often receive assistance from higher-level players to make questing and defeating monsters easier: for example, a high-level player could fully heal a low-level player with a single spell, eliminating the need for rest after a battle. Power leveling can allow low-level players to play with friends at higher levels more quickly; progressing quickly can also make the game more fun. Giving powerful items to a low level player is known as "twinking"; twinking does not constitute power leveling in and of itself, but giving high-quality items to a low-level player can make it easier for that player to power-level.Purpose

WoW power leveling basically means to take a character to a higher level in the shortest amount of time possible. Some people go as far as paying others to power level for them. This is cheating, and goes against Blizzard's rules. They feel that grinding and questing take too much time and they want to get to level 80 as quickly as possible.
If you are looking for a way to level up quickly, all you have to do is get a good guide and some add-ons to help you rush through the quests. Many people don't realize that questing can be quite simple when done in a specific order. This is why a WoW power leveling guide can come in handy.
