If they are a celebrity NOW, I am not so sure they will regret much of what might have helped them get to where they are today. They are more likely to regret things they do today that are sub-par or bad movies or roles that can hurt their fan base or reputation.

If you're talking about work in the entertainment industry, I don't think they really would regret a job because it's part of what got them celebrity status. I can't imagine that Tom Hanks would regret being in Bosom Buddies because it helped launch his career. Even George Clooney has said that he doesn't regret being in The Facts of Life or Roseanne. That's what helped get him exposure.

Difficult to tell. I regret Paris Hilton and many others becoming "singers", though.

Tom Hanks must have loved Bosom Buddies because it got him to where he is today. Without that, he never would have been discovered.
