Water and apply an inch of mulch. For the first 30 days, torenia should be watered three times a week to encourage root stability. When the torenia is established, once-a-week watering is sufficient. Apply 10-10-10 Npk fertilizer once a month to further nourishment. Concerns with torenia are root rot, mildew and Botrytis, a plant fungus.
