The notion that men want to be "challenged" is a fallacy. When it comes to committing to a long-term relationship, most men want a woman who is simply enjoyable to be around and who makes his life easy and pleasant.
No Game Playing
Despite what the book "The Rules" dictates, men generally don't enjoy games. Although the "hard to get" woman might captivate a man briefly, in the end, nice girls really do finish first. Generally, these are the ones who men ultimately marry.
Be True to You
The clichéd advice to "just be yourself" holds true when it comes to relationships. Phoniness or trying too hard is transparent and always a turn-off.
No Great Mystery
What most men want from a woman is rather obvious: someone who is pretty (though not necessarily a head-turning stunner), likes children and animals, has a good sense of humor and is adventurous and willing to try new things.
Easy Does It
Other good wife qualities are found in a woman who isn't high maintenance, is from a nice family, enjoys her career and has professional aspirations, doesn't have too much baggage or "issues" and is intelligent.
Slow and Steady
Guys almost always fall for someone who has her own interests and social life and who isn't obsessed with getting married or forcing a commitment too soon.
