Because eating them at other times of the day can contribute to Global Warming. Also, they may have nutritional value specific to the early morning - you want to eat something with energy to start the day, but you'd want to eat something satisfying to get you through the night.

There aren't really any "only breakfast" foods. They are just marketed that way. I know many people who eat cereal at any time of the day. I eat toast at night for a snack sometimes. I also cook bacon and eggs for dinner sometimes.

I personally don't follow that old rule. My family has "Breakfast for Dinner" all the time. I love having pancakes for dinner, with sides of sausage and homefries.

False. I eat everything anytime all the time. That's the issue.

I'm of the philosiphy that nothing has to be only for one thing. I will eat cereal, eggs, pancakes, etc. for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Whenever I feel like eating it. To have rules that something should only be eaten at a certain time of day, to me that is just preposterous.

I have no idea, but I am not a rule-follower so I will eat pasketti for breakfast and eggs and sausage at midnight any time I feel like it.
