The cure time depends on the size of the PVC pipe, the temperature and the brand of cement. Refer to the product package. For pipes less than 3 inches, the cement typically sets in under 30 seconds and can withstand pressure within 5 to 10 minutes. Larger drain pipes can take up to a couple of hours.
