Basically the reason I cheated was that I used to be kind of wild before we started dating and I guess I wanted one last fling. His last girlfriend cheated on him a couple of times and now I think he won't forgive me even though our relationship is going so well.

Addicted2luv IS FUCKING WRONG. you have to tell the poor guy! a relationship is not true unless there is honesty. "what he doesnt know wont hurt him" if a fucking stupid thing to follow. think about it this way; if he cheated on you and your friend found out he did and told you.would you be more hurt if he told you himself and was honest? or would you be more hurt if your friend had to find out b4 you bcuz he just didnt have the balls to tell you. ?

Don't tell him. If you are serious about not doing it again. No need to cause him that pain. Besides it was only a week in and you were a wild child. Nothing wrong with that.
But if you think you might do it again, you need to be in a relationship with someone that you can have an open relationship with. That way there is no need to worry about hurt feelings.

No - that early on, you weren't emotionally a couple yet. Back in the old days you would date first then gradually become a couple when feelings mature. These days people hook up on the first date and they are automatically 'a thing'.
Nothing good would come from telling him that if you do honestly believe you'll never do it again.
