  • To find balance in your life, you must embrace both the law of attraction and the law of repulsion. You can limit your success in life if you focus on the negatives. If you are aware of the law of repulsion, you can train your mind to focus only on the positives.

    A Little History

    Philosophers throughout history have tried to explain attraction in nature. Not all of them have agreed. Sociologists have adopted a few of these theories to understand human reactions and relationships.

    Law of Attraction

    Like attracts like, or, in other words, likes attract. You can create your own reality by believing that anything is possible. Through positive thoughts, you can reach any goal you set.

    Law of Repulsion

    Conversely, if you focus constantly on what you do not want in life, you attract it and you will experience it. Negative thoughts will result in a negative outcome.

    You Are in Control of Your Thoughts

    If you are trying to improve your life, focus on what you are striving for. You can train your mind to think in an optimistic manner so that you will attract more positive people, events and things.

    Be Aware of Both Laws for Success

    By being aware of the law of repulsion, you can train your mind to focus on the law of attraction. When you are a positive, giving, service-oriented individual, good things will come to you. If you let go of your negative thoughts and traits (i.e., selfishness, fear, anger, jealousy) you will not experience undesirable outcomes. You attract whatever you choose to give your attention to. Henry Ford famously said: "Whether you think that you can, or that you can't, you are usually right."
