Sterling silver cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher. The contact with other materials, such as stainless steel, and the contact with harsh chemicals and heavy bursts of water could permanently damage the silver products. Cleaning can be done with a mixture of baking soda and warm water, and the silver should be buffed with a cloth to dry.
