Soft gold or a cream-colored comforter are a good match with burgundy carpets. The light color tones will help to break up the dark burgundy on the floors. Also, the pairing of these two colors should give the room both a rich and warm feeling, which is excellent for a bedroom space.
On the Other: Blue and Burgundy

Although using a dark green would make the room really overpowering, adding a light blue to a green will help to tone down the comforter and make it a better match for the burgundy carpet.

While a blue-green hue may technically complement a burgundy carpet, in order to lighten up the room a soft gold-colored comforter would be the best choice. The burgundy carpet will absorb a lot of light in the room, thus the addition of a light gold or cream will help to add light back into the room.
