<h4 class="dechead">On One Hand: Golden Light Skin
For light skin that has tan or golden undertones, use brown hair coloring with a slight tint of red highlight to it. Light to medium browns, such as auburn, walnut, copper or chestnut, work well for this skin tone. Keep away from any of the ash colors; this will just drain your face of color.
On the Other: Rose-toned Light Skin
The cooler colors of brown hair coloring work best for light skin with a rose tone to it. Keep away from any of the red tones, and use colors from the ash brown family, hazelnut, sandy or ginger. Golden browns will also work will with light skin that has a rose complexion.
Bottom Line
There are exceptions to the rules, such as taking into consideration your eye color. Blue eyes are accentuated with a gold-toned hair color. Brown eyes tend to stand out with copper brown hair. Green eyes stand out with warm brown hair, and hazel eyes pick up their intensity when surrounded by a deep rich brown.
