Anxiety is a problem that affects millions of people worldwide. Understanding the physical symptoms of anxiety can help you understand your condition and treat it properly.
Fast Heartbeat
Anxiety can cause a "fight or flight" response, which is the response our body falls into when it feels threatened. As a result, your heat will beat faster.
Sweating
When you are suffering from anxiety, you may sweat profusely. This can lead to sticky clothing, chills (as sweating cools your body) and poor odor.
Trembling
Anxiety can also cause your body to tremble or shake harshly. If you are trembling and are not suffering from anxiety, you may have a more serious physical condition.
Sharp Chest Pain
Sharp chest pain is also associated with anxiety, especially when anxiety becomes extreme. A panic attack may begin, leading to chest pain, in cases of extreme anxiety.
Nausea and Vomiting
Often, anxiety leads to nausea and vomiting. This is especially common when anxiety is sudden, sharp and left uncontrolled.
