Hybrid and electric cars are two emerging alternative forms of transportation. Electric cars run on electricity and have to be plugged in and charged. Hybrid cars use both gas and electricity.
Electric Cars
Electric cars are cars that run on electricity. They have a limited range based upon the charge they can hold when they are plugged in.
Hybrid Cars
Hybrid cars use both gas and electricity to power them and attempt to make a gas-efficient car that has a larger range. Hybrid cars can generally travel farther faster than electric cars.
Modifications
Modifications can be made on hybrid cars to have them run entirely on electricity. The gas in the car is only used in emergency situations.
Why Chose Hybrid
Hybrid cars are more eco-friendly than normal cars. They are not totally clean, however, because they create emissions like other cars, even if at a lower rate.
Why Choose Electric
Electric cars are completely non-polluting and do not rely on gasoline, making them the most eco-friendly choice. They typically can keep up with gasoline cars in speed and can have increased range with charging stations but are limited, such as not being able to take long trips where charging stations are not available.
