  • I don't know if everything will come into play in life, but everything can always help.
  • i wouldnt go as far as saying everything i learned as helped me out in life, but some things i learned have. like in my pse class we learned about handling money and bringing up babies and lots of things that have come in useful for me since leaving school
  • No, not everything. Some of it has proven useful but much of it was not. Which usually depends on the instructor as well as the subject matter.
  • Not at all. Past junior high and high school, besides math and English, I would say most of what else I learned was not all very helpful. I either leaned more helpful things in college or on my own.
  • The most common answer I have found to justify the subjects that are taught in school is that having a well rounded education equips you to face the challenges that can come up in your everyday life. The school boards have determined that the mandated course of study enables the student to learn structure, how to reason, and many other such "intangible" skills. However, I have met successful business people who have never read a book, visited a museum, or any of the other things associated with a well rounded education. The school system fails in its job most of the time. I homeschooled my two sons, and my three grandsons.
  • This helped me in university
  • A bit. English has helped, maths I learnt - not really. Didn't help me out really at college either.
  • 90% of the things i use every day i learned from PBS channel 16. the wood wright's shop, sesame street, this old house, that guy who looks like Einsteins brother or something who teaches science. also 3-2-1 contact and many other great shows. not to mention the public library which was like my second home. al i remember of school was abuse and degradation. in school i was as popular as Jessie jackson at a Klan rally. and being natural non-violent didn't help much. you know how it's so funny in movies and tv show when jocks do mean spiteful things to the "Nerds"? well, it's not funny when your the nerd. so no, no learning in school, school = hell on earth.
  • If you look at it from a general knowledge perspective then YEs. But if just work related then subject matter like History does not help me in my job.
  • Nope But on AB's it thought me how to give point's!!
  • I learned a lot of things about social behaviour, that's for sure. School taught me a lot, but not how they intended it to. Most of the technical stuff I really learned through playing video games and reading books. Even proper spelling I learned through online forums, not school.
  • Learning that nouns were things that were things, verbs are what you do, and proverbs help out verbs.
