    You can spray paint cabinet hinges, but you should clean the hinges well with a metal cleaner first to remove dirt that may prevent the paint from adhering smoothly. Spray in a sweeping motion, and spray only enough to cover the hinge lightly. You do not want to clog the hinge with extra paint. May Hardware recommends removing the hinges and then spraying them.
