Customer service is what an organization does to benefit and keep its consumers. Reliable customer service means that although the customer is not interacting directly with the company, the company is still delivering efficient, reliable service. Every person in the organization is responsible for customer service.
Honesty
Reliable customer service means being transparent with the customer. Let the customer know clearly what the organization can and cannot do and why.
Consistency
Customer service that is reliable is also consistent. For example, the customer can expect to be treated with courtesy every time he interacts with the organization.
Quality
Reliable customer service means providing a product or service that performs as promised. For example, a television that still works after 20 years shows that the company creates a high-quality, long-lasting product.
Responsiveness
In instances when the customer does not receive the level of service promised, an organization must be agile enough to resolve the issue quickly and efficiently.
Accuracy and Security
Although the customer may not be speaking with the company, the company is responsible for the information the customer receives. Reliable customer service means that the company maintains accurate and secure records of customer interactions.
