The location of the water filter on a Kitchenaid Refrigerator depends on the style of the fridge and whether it is an external or internal filter. A side-by-side door refrigerator or a top freezer refrigerator has the external water filter on the bottom left side in the front of the refrigerator. The internal water filter for a side-by-side door refrigerator and bottom freezer refrigerator is located in the top right inside the refrigerator.
