  • A diastolic blood pressure of 60 or below is considered to be low. For someone that has chronic low blood pressure, the body accepts the lower range as normal and often has no side effects. If a person has normal blood pressure, which is defined as being near 120/80, a sudden drop in the diastolic pressure can cause unconsciousness.
