On the Other: Plumbing Stores Offer More Brands
Plumbing stores typically offer many more brands and models of bathtubs than big box stores. For instance, the Home Depot website lists bathtubs from 13 manufacturers, while the Austin Plumbing Supply Company lists 33 different manufacturers. Many of the additional tubs are high-end luxury bathtubs.
Bottom Line
While the big boxes carry some high-end luxury tubs, plumbing stores offer a bigger selection of better bathtubs.They might also offer custom-fitted tubs. If you're looking for economy, either store do. If you want high-end, try a plumbing store.
