I need multi - sized ping pong balls for close packing. Help?
I need to make a model on the macro-level of spheres that are closed packed. I want to know is there a store online or somewhere in NYC where I can purchase these kind of balls. Basically, the balls I am looking for are light and hollow; They can be easily moved if blown at. If not ping pong balls, any other type of spherical shaped object that is light, preferably, hollow, around the general diameter of a ping pong ball or around 4 cm in diameter, and when blown at moves easily. I mainly need spherical objects that are not too big, and they come in different sizes. Also, for anyone with knowledge about close packing spheres, what type of sphere(ping pong ball or golf ball or Styrofoam ball, etc) would be the best approach for a model on the macro scale?
