Is $30 a good price for getting your tongue pierced? Cause where I live there`s this place called Sin City and I`m gunna get my tongue pierced there...I`ve never seen what it looks like inside, but that`s where my sister got hers done and hers heeled up

That's about half what you'd pay where I am. Is it a good price? Well, if they do a good job, then it's a hell of a deal! If not... well... is 30 dollars a good price for an injury? or an infection? :P

do your research, and good luck!

What's more important is the quality of the jewelry, the cleanliness of the shop, and the training of the piercist. There are a lot of "Sin City" piercing/tattoo shops, so I can't tell you much of anything.

Don't commit to having it done unless you're 100% comfortable with it. I've pierced before and there are a few factors that can complicate tongue piercing, but it's generally fairly simple. Just make sure that they use an autoclave on the tools (if they don't freehand), use a one-use needle, and they change gloves when appropriate.

If they don't give you mouth rinse before they pull out the needle, leave. If they suggest you swish with any alcohol-based mouthwash, I'd have second thoughts. (It's damaging for a fresh/unhealed piercing.)

Oral piercings heal quickly, but make sure you don't drink alcohol or smoke.

I suggest implant-grade titanium for piercings (though niobium is nice, too, though more expensive). I wouldn't use anything less than surgical stainless steel.

I think I paid 30 for mine [all piercings there are $30 mostly except industrials]. As long as the place is clean and certified go for it!

usaully they charge a certain price to pierce usually between 30-50 dollars and then you have to purchase their jewelery to go with it but if you sister had a good experience go for it

In my small town its $40 and that includes jewelery, but I had mine when I moved to college, so I paid more.

    I'd say go for it.

If you know someone who went there and had a good experience that is always a good thing. 30 bucks is kinda cheap, and I always say the better quality of piercong/tattoo the more expensive. But if you know it's clean and have a good reference, the choice is yours. Good luck.
