What is the school system like in your area?

The school system in my area is pretty good. They have a great teachers, good music programs, free after school tutoring and other activities. I think that the reason that the schools in my area are good is because they have to be to get students. There is no districts or zones and you can have your kids go to any school you choose so the schools have to be competitive. When the students are in 5th and 8th grade the different middle and high schools come to the schools and give presentations to try to recruit students to come to their school and even have commercials on the TV and radio.

OK, but compared to today, fairly primitive and underfunded. So-so teachers, depending on the year. No worries back then of pedophiles I ever remember. It was OK. Middle class OK.

good education but a lousy lunch

I'm luck enough to live by some of the nicest public schools in the country.(Northern California)
