How can I get people to notice my photography skills?

I love to take pictures and I'm pretty good if I do say so myself. I've decided that I shouldn't hide my talent, I should share it with the world. So I've set up a Flickr account and I've begun to post some of my photographs. Problem is, I'm talking to myself all the time! I only have about 20 views (total) and no comments. I don't know anyone on Flickr so I don't know who to tell. Whats the best way to advertise my work so I can get the attention I've always wanted?
