I've had a chance to test out my grandmother's DVR from her DISH satellite subscription. I've never been able to test a TiVO. The DVR is quite nice.

Yea, the tiv o is just fancier. If you are happy with DVR, i would just get that. Unless you are specifically wanting something more or fancier, just stick with DVR.
