  • Simply, yes, if you know what you are doing. But it is alot more difficult than using Photoshop. It also depends on what kind of film you are using how easy or difficult it is.
  • Remember that when you see 'remastered' or 'restored' editions of movies, that means they have often gone through a 'touch up'. I remember seeing a documentary when they were digitally remastering Disney's Snow White and I think I remember them showing the film being digitally scanned so that guys on the computers could go through frame by frame and fix the scratches and remove blemishes etc, just like you do with photos.
  • In the old days film was touched up manually on each frame by painting the surface.Now things are changed digitally and very quickly on many frames per second.
