    Because many people ponder on this type of situation, being stranded. What to do, what to bring, to to say etc.. Besides these type of questions are the ones people find intriguing with infinite amount of answers, plus they flood up.

    Not sure, but I am the expert in it. Actually I am the expert in "Survivor" (never seen the show). But when you click on it it is all those deserted island questions... they are just fun I guess.

    Finally a desert island question I can answer. I think it's the idea of being limited by circumstances and wondering what we would do in that situation. I think it's why Survivor is so popular. I gives you a chance to see what you would do on a desert island.
