Considering there are a few million American moslems out there, I have to suspect that at least some of them are marrying somebody, and that at least some of them are marrying moslems, American or otherwise.

Yes.
There a quite a number of American Muslims, and non-muslims who have married one.
But darned few Male Americans marrying a female muslim. Irony indeed.
