<h4 class="dechead">On One Hand: Yellows and Golds are Dramatic
Corian is a material made for counter tops by DuPont. It is made of an acrylic polymer with alumina trihydrate added to make it harder. It is what is called a thermosetting material, meaning it can be shaped when heated. Corian comes in various thicknesses and more than 100 colors. Many people, including some interior designers, suggest a yellow or gold dramatically accents the honey brown of oak.
On the Other: A Minority Like Dark Brown
On the other hand, there's the thought that dark brown Corian will accent the lighter honey oak beautifully. Fewer people seem to have to this opinion.
Bottom Line
You must have confidence in your likes and dislikes. Unless this is simply a house to sell, you are the person who will appreciate the color combination. If you cannot find a color in the Corian spectrum that appeals to you, there are several other manufacturers that produce a similar material. Meganite and Avonite are two examples of the competition.
