Fiesta® dinnerware came into popularity in the 1930s. It is famous for its bright colors, unusual shape and its trademark six rings. Original Fiestaware is highly collectible. According to LiveAuctionTalk, a medium-green colored cream soup bowl sold for $4,950 at a recent auction. Original colors include red, dark blue, yellow, light green and ivory.
On the Other: Fiestaware is Widely Available
Fiesta dinnerware has been in production almost continuously since the 1930s; the line was restyled in 1969. Although new colors have been introduced, there have been only minor alterations. Fiestaware is quite common and is available to purchase online and at most major department stores.
Bottom Line
Collectors should look for original production pieces with one of three identifying marks: Fiesta/HCL USA, HCL/Fiesta/Made in USA, and Fiesta/Made in USA.HL Co. The medium-green color is considered the most valuable because it was produced for the shortest amount of time.
