  • We now have a pill for pretty much every aspect of our lives. Why should erectile dysfunction, low libido and penis size be any different? The claims made by these drugs seem too good to be true. What is in them, and do they work?

    Viagra, Levitra and Cialis

Viagra, Levitra and Cialis are cardiac medications re-marketed as erectile dysfunction medications. Referred to as phosphodiesterase inhibitors, they increase blood flow by blocking this enzyme.

    Enzyte

Enzyte is made up of a combination of herbal supplements: Korean red ginseng root, which may promote greater stamina and endurance; ginkgo biloba, pine bark extract, L-arginine, horny goat, maca root, muira puama extract, octacosanol, saw palmetto, Swedish flower pollen, niacin, zinc and copper.

    Caverjet

According to Health-cares.net, the drug Caverjet is injected directly into the penis and is made up of prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) or alprostadil.

    Efficacy

The phosphodiesterase inhibitors seem to show great efficacy. Men pay up to $11 per pill, and many take them more than they should. Enzyte's efficacy is controversial; some users state that it does nothing at all to improve penis size or libido. Caverjet injection therapy creates an erection that lasts one to two hours.

    Side Effects

Phosphodiesterase inhibitors can be fatal if mixed with other cardiac medications. They also cause face flushing, anxiety and palpitations. Enzyte can cause nausea and anxiety. Caverjet can damage penile tissue, as it is injected directly into the penis.
