    shopping is an addiction and not always for the best. I have a serious problem with shopping that i cant afford. Thats why i dont own a credit card. Basiclly we find it therapeutic. You go and buy something new and then you have to wait till you get home and you can roudly do with your items whatever it is they do. There are lots of great things out there and girls just wanna get their hands on some. I could say... whats with guys and wasting money on car modifyiing

    No idea I am a girl (I think) but I hate shopping.

    My husband used to do the shopping because i would come home with all cleaning products and no food.

    Clothes shopping I
    NEVER get anything that fits first time because I refuse to try things on. I just Hate it.

    I suppose one could compare it to guys that like hunting, it's just the pure thrill of the hunt. Of course, in general, women don't mount their purchases on the wall and call it a "trophy" and the weaponry is far less brutal :)

    As a garment store owner, I can never interest a man for more things. He finishes shopping in a few minutes but the woman shopper is with me for over two hours and she shops a lot.And she will be back for more very soon.I do keep a data base of all my customers so I know their birthdays, wedding anniversary,size,etc.. to all other shopping habits. A man is a poor shopper and not much interested in clothing but a woman shopper is very conscious about what she wears and can be very great customer, if I know how to handle her well!

    What is it with men and aggressive sports? The history of civilization shows that men and women are prone to different things based on their instinctual function in life. Women have a need to hoard, collect, nurture, gather...etc. That can translate into "shopping." I would just let it go. It's a big part of the female nature. Of course not all women shop but they are probably a minority.

    Just let it go. Girls will be girls.
