No it is not true. We had a really bright rainbow over our house once and we got the whole thing in a picture. It was one of those panoramic view type cameras.

Not true as I've seen many photos of full rainbows. Here's one of a double full rainbow.

Double rainbows do exist, i've seen them often here in the UK, and they are lighter under the first bow.

A rainbow is actually a complete circle, if I remember correctly. If that is true, you wouldn't be able to get both ends because there aren't any!
