I have been in the service for 19+ years, and have taken many "Hail Mary" flights in aircraft that you can smell the glue drying on the wings on. I'm always reminded of a joke my grandad told me: "An eagle swoops from the sky and devours a mouse in one gulp. The mouse wiggles it's way thru until it's head is sticking out the eagle's butt, and looks down, in awe. He asks, "How high up are we?", The eagle replies, "About 2,000 feet." The mouse says, with some trepidation, "You wouldn't shit me, would ya?" :-)

How I can go pretty much anywhere. I always feel incredibly exhilarated when I fly, I love looking down and thinking about all the people underneath us, and how weird it is that you can get a piece of metal off the ground and make it fly. When I'm flying is probably when I feel most hopeful and optimistic, I even considered becoming an airline pilot at one point, but I would have had to major in physics *shudder* I'd love a trip that let you fly around the world on aeroplane without stopping once. These are some pictures from the last time I flew.

Happy thoughts of being in paradise any minute. I stare outside the window almost the whole flight. Then, I look inside the plane and I find it hard for my eyes to adjust. I think of all the people, houses, and large buildings that are below.
