The necessary kennel size is dependent upon the size of the dog. For the dog's comfort, the kennel should be at least as wide as two times the dog's width at the widest part. The length of your kennel should be at least 1 1/4 the length of the dog. Your kennel also should be tall enough that your dog can comfortably stand inside without his head touching the ceiling.
