The o2 sensor is bad if the engine displays some loss of power because this causes the engine to use too much gas and produce too much pollution . Typically, Ohm readings of less than 310 indicates the engine is reaching at least 400 degrees F. When it gets to less than 200 Ohms, the engine temperature is 450 degrees F or higher. At 575 degrees , the alarm should go off.
