It is only possible to lose about 5 lbs. in one day. This includes about 2 lbs. of water weight, 2 lbs. of food in your digestive track, and 1 lbs. of waste in your bowels. This assumes that you eat or drink nothing during the day, and exercise continuously to sweat off water. This is extremely unhealthy and the weight loss would be temporary.
