  • If you're looking to hire, work for or date someone new, you have the right to know if the person has a criminal record. In the state of Georgia, this information is made public for a small fee and is available 24 hours a day.

    Felon Search

The most reliable place to search for a felon in Georgia is the Felon Search website (see References). This is the only place online that hosts information that comes directly from legal sources and offers bona fide accuracy. To search for a felon, you will need certain information including but not limited to first and last name, sex and date of birth. Race, middle name and any other MNU (miscellaneous identification number), such as a serial number for those in the armed forces or alien registration numbers can also be helpful. An accurate Social security number is highly efficient to obtain accurate results.

    Fee for Services

Each time you search the Georgia state felon conviction records you will be charged $15--you can use your credit or debit card. This is a generally standard fee for all public records. If you find a website that promises perfect results at a higher price, do not surrender your financial information. When searching state records, the only place that has them is the state; any non-government website will probably be a scam.

If your Search Yeilds No Results

If your search reveals "No Records Found" that doesn't mean the individual has no record of convicted felonies. A fingerprint-based search is the most accurate search available, although it is difficult to employ. A search in other states might yield results, or the records of the conviction might not yet have been entered into the database.
