  • Dreams are powerful messages that the body uses during your resting state to speak to you about the issues you are dealing with. Interpreting dreams will help you understand and face the issues that you may be having difficulty acknowledging.

    Purpose of a Dream

Pain is the way your body communicates to your conscious that there is physical trouble. Dreams are the way your body communicates emotional, spiritual or physical trouble. However, a dream that you are experiencing whether pleasant or frightful is not necessarily a predictor of what others may be doing, but probably what you are fearing or desiring.

    Nightmares

The language of our dreams is universal, says the Rev. Jeremy Taylor. For instance, dreams in which you are being chased are consistent with the avoidance of a problem in your waking life. The longer you avoid the problem in your waking life, the louder the dream becomes in your sleep until it eventually can turn into a nightmare. Your conscious mind may suppress the unpleasant reality, but your fears are controlled while you sleep.

    Interpreting Dreams

Only you can determine the purpose of your dream. Recurring symbols can help you focus and get the "aha" moment as soon as you awaken. Take a few minutes to recall the dream and pay close attention to your own feelings at the beginning, middle and end of the dream, or whatever parts you remember. Focus on color, or symbols and their relevance to you. You may want to use Dream Moods' Dream Dictionary for understanding symbols better.

    Lucid Dreaming

The ability to control or redirect your dreams while they are happening is a practice you can develop over time and can be useful in helping children deal with nightmares. Many lucid dreamers enjoy flying in their dreams, having conversations with famous people and becoming superheroes.

    Husband Cheating?

If you are dreaming it, then you are fearing it, or according to Dream Moods, feeling guilty about your own boredom in the marriage.
