Do you mean traditional music as in the Northern marching stuff, or the southern oom-pa-pa? Or do you mean German electronic or pop? If the former, it's great at Oktoberfest, if the latter...hmmm....there are occasional songs I like but I am a not a great fan of european music as a whole...it's too meaningless.

It is all good. Whether it is Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Handel, et al for the classical scene or Kraftwerk, Nina, or any of the rest of the plethera of modern groups. There is of course the polka type of music played by local bands in beer tents at festivals such as the famous Oktober Fest, as well as the local festivals in virtually every small village across the densely populated countryside. These often get much better as the evening progresses, depending heavily on the amount of 'bier' that has been consumed.

Traditional German music is of course, very fine music, but I have a tendancy for preference towards the more "modern sounds" that are coming out of there. Rammstein for instance =D

If it's metal and industrial, they certainly have a knack for it, but I'm afraid I don't know much else about Germany's music history.

I like German music, especially the music from the romantic and classical era.

I don't know much about "traditional" German music, but Rammstein is one of my favorite groups.
