The New England Patriots' field has two unique markings either side of the 50-yard line. These markings comprise the official Gillette Stadium logo.
Logo
The logo is the official Gillette stadium logo, representing the bridge and lighthouse tower at the east entrance to the stadium.
Lighthouse
A 12-story-high lighthouse welcomes fans to the stadium and sits atop the Bank of America main entrance. This lighthouse is the feature on the field marking.
Night games
The lighthouse was designed to cast a vertical beam of light two miles into the sky after each Patriot score, and casts a vertical light beam throughout night games. The lighthouse also shoots a light beam in the image on the Patriots' field.
Bridge
Another marking in the logo is a replica arch bridge modeled after Boston's famous Longfellow Bridge. At the Bank of America gate within the stadium, a functional replica bridge crosses between the East and West gates and offers fans a unique perspective on the action. This landmark makes up the second part of the stadium logo.
Tradition
The logo is a nod to tradition in the New England, incorporating one of the region's more famous landmarks, and the lighthouse saluting the ocean community within which the stadium is situated.
