Blackberry phones are made by Rim (Research In Motion) and are also called smartphones because of their many capabilities. They allow people to do many tasks on their phone, such as send and receive email, photos and videos; access the Internet; and listen to music.
Blackberry Pin
The Blackberry pin can be found under the "Options" icon on a Blackberry screen. It is an eight-digit alphanumeric code.
Blackberry Messenger
The Blackberry pin is used to add friends to your Blackberry Messenger program so that you can chat, send photos and voice messages without using your regular text message plan. You can only add friends who also have a blackberry phone.
Add a Friend
Once you have your friend's pin code, you can add your friends by going into your Blackberry Messenger program. Then you will click "Add Friend" and then add their pin. They will receive a request from you and can then accept or decline it.
Service Provider
Blackberry phones are available for use with most wireless providers, including Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular.
Cost
The Blackberry Messenger service is free on all blackberry phones and doesn't use minutes and text message rates don't apply; however, if you want to use other features on the Blackberry, like the Internet, additional charges are likely to be incurred.
