    According to flypatchfly.com, learning to fly costs anywhere from $5,255 to $8,855. The costs depend on the area, instructor rates and rental rates. Some schools and small airports might offer a free lesson or discount packages.

    A lot! I was taking flying classes a few years ago and took them till I went broke (well I had about $3000 in my bank). It was about $200/hr flying + $100/hr for ground training. Not my best decision financially but yea, it was an amazing experience till it lasted. If you have the money, go for it.

    Pilot licensing is very expensive. Many websites say different prices, but according to my
    research in looking for a flight school in my area, I found that this website has the most accurate information about licensing costs.

    There are many variables including how frequently you take lessons, the fees for the specific airplane and instructor you train with and how quickly you develop the required skills and knowledge. However you're probably going to spend at least $6,000 on becoming a private pilot in the USA.
