  • small city. that way if you get robbed, you'll already know who it is, because everybody knows everybody!
  • I love the Big City -- but live in a very small city
  • I have lived in both and both have their advantages. I like small towns because of the slower pace and the way people tended to just be more friendly. Everybody was your neighbor. The problem with small towns is that there is really is not much to do in such towns and not much in the was of opportunities. The big city has lots of opportunities to make a living and a wide variety of choice for shopping and entertainment. There almost always something to do. The problem is that big cities are a lot more impersonal. They tend to be made up of relatively small enclaves of people who look out for their own interests, but are not so good at working together for the overall good of the community. So, give my choice, I would choose a small town within easy driving distance of a big city. That way I would be able to get the benefits of both.
  • I live in the suburbs. I have always wanted the big city custle, but in all honesty, I don't think I could hack it. The big cities are tough!

  • I probably would have previously answered "small city" a few years ago, but now that we live in one, it's such a hassle to drive into the "Big city" to see plays or shop at a decent department store. Also, driving to a good grocery store or just other simple places like that can be a hassle.
