Introduction
The Tacoma debuted in 1995, with the PreRunner model offered starting in 1998 and sharing the same suspension, frame and engine choices, according to CarSeek.com.

The PreRunner mimics the 4-wheel-drives in almost every way, but is not a 4X4. Yet among the options is the TRD (Toyota Racing Development) Off-Road package.
