  • there are plenty videos and books out there, there are also countless websites on the subject. but the best way to learn is with a teacher.
  • Just by listening to tracks and tryin to play along. I would recommend buyin a book of some sort. It takes time, but it comes, as long as you want it hard enough. Also check out free guitar tabs on the internet. You can get most any song for free! Just practise, find a friend who plays too and yu can help each other! Have fun!
  • IN THIS ORDER: 1) Memorize and fully understand the chromatic scale. 2) Memorize the open-string names (e-1st, B-2nd, etc.). Then apply your chromatic scale knowledge to the fretboard; you don't need to memorize every possible fretted tone yet, but it is important to be able to figure it out when the need arises. 3) Memorize the major and minor scale intervals, then practice writing simple major/minor chords (1,3,5) in various scales. 4) Now for the actual playing! Get a chord book or chart and start learning how to make your fingers form the chords. Start with the open-position major and minor chords and master them perfectly before you start with barre chords and colorful seventh chords. Those chords take weeks to perfect, so don't get ahead of yourself. From here, the beginning guitarist will take off on his own as if learning how to ride a bike for the first time. Therefore, what to learn next will vary for every person.
  • Youtube can be pretty handy.
